Turbo Blankets are designed to keep the heat contained within the Turbo, whilst reducing under bonnet temperatures. The Turbo Jacket will actually help to decrease turbo spool up time by keeping the gases inside hot. A hotter gas flows quicker and will actually exit through your wrapped exhaust faster!

With the unique design of a turbo, the hot portion is in close proximity to the area in which you would like to keep cool (compressor housing). By wrapping your turbo, this will help improve your efficiency and actually help to lower the intake temperature and actually allow your engine to breath easier. A turbo blanket has more benefits! A cooler surrounding area will actually help to decrease engine bay temperatures and make all of the surrounding components more reliable and live longer, this is without forgetting the induction cooling benefits that are vital on all road cars and Motorsport applications.

PERFORMANCE
Improve gas flow and increase performance with our Cummins 6.7L ISB turbo blanket. Our Funk Motorsport Cummins turbo jackets work to insulate the hot side of the turbo and retain the heat within the exhaust gases themselves. Hotter gases accelerate faster leading to them leaving the system sooner improving spool up and throttle response. Insulating the hot side of your turbo also helps to lower the amount of heat from the turbo that dissipates into the engine bay and intake pipework. A cooler intake results in higher performance and more consistent power figures over time.


PROTECTION
A turbo is an absolute furnace within the engine bay. Excess heat produced by the turbo can cause devastation to surrounding sensitive components. Protect anything from oil lines, coolant lines and even bodywork positioned close to the turbo from the dangers of excess heat.

RELIABILITY
Insulate your Cummins 6.7L ISB turbo to reduce excess heat within your engine bay. Reducing the overall temperature of the engine bay will improve the reliability of electronics, and also help improve the temperature of coolant, fuel and oil lines. From a reliability standpoint, the benefits of a turbo blanket are endless.
